KiScon

Dear friends, dear fannish family,

KiScon is back! For 2022 the beloved Kirk/Spock convention will take place entirely online, but we aim to get as close to the traditional KiScon atmosphere as possible. There will be panels and workshops, games and contests, vid shows, and opportunities for many inspiring and inspired discussions.

We use the Conline platform that was developed by a fellow fan; it is the central hub that integrates with Zoom for the panels, YouTube for the livestreams and playlists, and Discord as place to socialise. If that sounds terribly technical and complicated to you, or if you have never taken part in an online convention before: fear not, we are here to guide through everything step by step, and we will organise training sessions so you can get familiar with the technology before the convention weekend.

We are still very sad that we had to cancel KiScon 2021, but given the global state of affairs we think we made the right decision. As an in-person event, KiScon will hopefully return in 2023 or 2024, depending on how soon the world will go back to a level of "normalcy" that enables safe international travel again, including for the more vulnerable fans among us. The safety and well-being of our attendees has absolute priority.

You are also invited to join our brand-new KiScon Discord server; we will use it during the convention (with specifically dedicated channels exclusive to convention attendees, to provide better privacy), but it is also meant to be a place for past KiScon attendees and fans interested in future KiScon events, to discuss all things K/S and to get to know each other better.
